First travel in Australia
My job in Nepal was limited to Kathmandu valley while I was there. Despite my interest to travel, I could not. It’s my passion to visit new places, see new things. So, the first thing I chose after being resettled in Australia was to visit places in Australia.
I loved Melbourne for its multi-culturalism and modern infrastructures. The city generates the largest job opportunities in Australia. Living in suburb is good but for low income families, livelihood would be difficult. Traffic rules are quite troublesome and getting enrolled into university is very tough.
Eureka tower is fantastic – a rare showcase of the modern civilization. I paid 9 dollars to reach level u88 to grab opportunity see the spectacular view of urban settlement – so creatively designed in squares and rectangles. Crown plaza was another memorable thing. I was not allowed to enter into casino in Nepal. Crown plaza gave me that opportunity.
Second halt in my trip was to Woodonga and Albury – the two border towns in north. Albury, though less opportunities, is almost like a Himalayan valley. Coming from hilly country, I fell in love with this city. Calm and clean – good for living.
On my third halt, I reached Launceston, another beautiful city. Fortunately, I happened to reach Royal Launceston Show on the second day and it stunned me. I had never seen such games before – scaring. I nearly pissed from up in the sky. See the game here I played.
Launceston has public transport problem. There aren’t enough services as required. For new travelers to Launceston, its very very difficult to manage transport. However, my centerlink card, that didn’t work in Victoria came to be handy in Launceston to get concession on public transport.
Launceston city view from High Street – memorable.
Then I travelled to Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. It was here that I travelled a long distance along the beach at evening time. The Hobart bridge, Mt Wellington and botanical gardens are perfect places to visit while in Tasmania. It was just 24 hours stay in Hobart. I could not visit all interesting places. I hope to see in future.
Its now Sydney, Darwin and Brisbane I dream of travelling in future. Lets see if time permits me.
