Despite decreasing population, crimes in the Beldangi camps have not erased out as reported by Bhutan News Service. Ram Bahadur Gurung, 21, of Beldangi II Extension has been gunned down on Wednesday evening.
Police posts in all camps were restored shortly before beginning the resettlement process in hope to maintain peace and control crimes in the camps. The police presence has barely added any to this scenario.
Gurung was short thrice on his chest before shooter absconded. Police are yet to trace out attackers and cause behind the attack. Death of the victim means police will be left with no clues to trade hiding murder.
This is the first incident of murder in camp for this year.
