Six killed in car accidents (Breaking News)

In two separate car accidents, six people have died in Bhutan on Saturday. It is very sad news that I received from friends in Thimphu and Phuentsholing.

In a car crash along Gelephu-Zhemgang highway yesterday, two officials from Bhutan Development Finance Corporation and two other farmers travelling on the car died.

In another separate accident, two monks have been killed in a car accident along Phuentsholing Thimphu highway on Saturday. Of the four monks travelling, two others were injured badly. Their latest status has not been known. All monks are from Wangdue.

Causes of the accidents are not yet known but are likely to be caused by the slippery road surface after rain.
