PM’s Annual Report

Is king’s wedding biggest achievement for an elected government? What has the relation between government’s performances and royal wedding? I was astonished to note when PM Thinley mentioned royal wedding scheduled for this October as one of the achievements made last financial year.

He was addressing the joint session of the parliament to present his annual report outlining the achievements of the government during the last financial year.

Micro study of the report reveals the government’s failure to meet the targets set out in the last year’s budget but also there are other achievements the government has made that has to be appreciated. Unemployment, inflation, crime, corruption and building infrastructure are some of the areas where government failed to make progress. You read the whole report here.
