Talk presents Bhutan’s rich flora and fauna

KUCHING: More than 50 people attended a talk titled ‘Insights Discoveries of Bhutan: The Land of the Thunder Dragon’ which was held at the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre yesterday.
Presented by Mani Prasad Nirola from the National Biodiversity Centre of Bhutan, the talk revolved around the country’s rich culture and unspoiled environment, which has led the country to be called the last Shangri-la.
A biodiversity officer in Bio-Exploration and Research in Bhutan, Mani is in charge of the development of Bhutan’s traditional knowledge database system and the documentation of traditional knowledge associated with biological resources in the country.
