Maj. (Redt) Hemant Gurung was trained and served as an army officer for years. He was transferred to the police division and again trained there under Indian Police Services. He passed his Bachelor of Arts degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. He has 20 years of experiences under armed-force and security services of the country.
Hemant has appreciation from high authorities for his loyalty and diligence in the arm-force service. He rose to the rank of Major and served dedicatedly under different positions from Officer In-charges to Superintendents in different places and divisions. He has over eight years’ experience and skills in managing training. He brought a good degree of enabling environment in the jail system for visitors and occupants as well. As a keen sports person, he was appointed the Secretary General of Drukpol Football Club.
