Dasho Zangley Dukpa represents Khar-Yurung Constituency, Pemagatsel as the Candidate of Druk Phuensum Tshogpa. He graduated with diploma in Education from the College of Education, University of Edinburgh and obtained the degree of Masters in Education in 1983 from Bristol University, UK. He began his career as a teacher after passing out his Teacher Training from Samtse in 1970. He was the first Bhutanese Principal to Sherubtse College after Deputy Directorship in Education. He was appointed as Dzongda of Chhukha and later in 2003 as Vice Chancellor of Royal University of Bhutan.
Dasho Zangley has been member of numerous institutions and organizations both in country and outside. He has been involved in drafting national education policy, DYT & GYT chathrims and acts. He has participated in numerous conferences and seminars outside the country. His Majesty conferred him Red Scarf (Dasho) in 1994 for his significant contribution to the Education system. He is also a recipient of double grade promotion from the King. He brings invaluable experiences and knowledge as an educationist and administrator to the Party. He is married and they have four sons and a daughter.
He served as Health Minister in the erstwhile government.

The former Road Safety and Transport Authority (RSTA) Director, Tashi Norbu is the PDP candidate for Khar-Yurung Constituency under Pemagatshel district.
He resigned as the Executive Director of the autonomous Health Trust Fund making him one of the senior-most serving civil servants to join politics after 30 years of civil service.
During the 2008 elections he was approached by PDP but he couldn’t participate due to some personal problems.
He has a Masters in Education from University of New Brunswick, Canada. He also worked as principal in Punakha Higher Secondary School (1989-1994) and Jigme Sherubling Higher Secondary School (1995-97) in Khaling under Trashigang district before being appointed as chief district office of Haa. Later he became the director of road safety and transport authority.
His two big promises are a 20% housing allowance for civil servants and also complete youth employment.
After 19 years of experience in the education sector where he built a formidable reputation as one of Bhutan’s best educators he became the Haa Dzongda for five years.

Lyonpo Jigmi Y. Thinley is the President of the Party, Druk Phuensum Tshogpa. He represents the Constituency of Nanong-Shumar, Pemagatsel. He graduated with Masters in Public Administration from Pennsylvania State University, USA in 1976. Lyonpo served two terms as the Prime Minister of Bhutan. He is also the first elected prime minister of the country. He is recipient of a number of awards;

A passionate musician, Jigme Drukpa has an MPhil in music from University of Bergen, Norway, Bachelors degree in Arts from Sherubtse College. He is the founder of Aa-yang music school in 2010. He served at the royal academy of performing arts as vice principal for 10 years, and took Bhutanese music all over the world, performing and leading many cultural and music delegations worldwide. He was also a music consultant with the royal education council.
The 44-year-old will contest from Nanong-Shumar constituency in Pemagatshel.
He explained it was almost a sacred call to participate in the new process of nation building. He contested against Jigmi Y Thinley in the 2008 elections as the PDP candidate.

Pema Wangchuk, 33-year-old, started his career as a civil servant with the Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC) in 2002. He later worked with the Ministry of Education until 2008. He resigned from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in January 2010 to contest for the 2013 NC Elections.
He holds a master’s degree in legal studies from University of Canberra, Australia, and a postgraduate diploma in legal studies, corruption studies, and a postgraduate certificate in management from various universities in Australia and Hongkong. He completed his bachelor’s in arts degree from Shillong, India.

Mr. Choida Jamtsho represents Nganlam Constituency, Pemagatsel as the Candidate of Druk Phuensum Tshogpa. He graduated from Sherubtse College, Kanglung in 1989 with Bachelor of Commerce degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting Technician, Emile Woolf College, London, and Masters in Environmental Science form University of East Anglia, UK in 2005. He has several certificates in Auditing, making him the expert in the field of all kinds of auditing. He started his career as an Auditor and became the Chief of Follow-up Division in 2005. Under Home Ministry, he carried out special duty to enumerate census in southern dzongkhags during 1990-92, and on the call of the nation, he served under Militia in Samtse M-01 in 2003. Choida brings a lot of invaluable experiences to the system. He is married and they have a daughter and a son.

He graduated in 2011 and worked with a private firm for a year, after which he spent another six months in his village.
