Mr. Ugyen Dorji represents Dewathang–Gomdar constituency, Samdrup Jongkhar as the Candidate of Druk Phuensum Tshogpa. He graduated with Masters in Industrial and Employee Relations form Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He is a Sherubtsian with Bachelors of Arts degree obtained in 1999.
He began his career in 2000 as HRD Officer and was serving as the Assistant Director of Planning and Policy Division under Ministry of Labor and Human Resources when he resigned to join the Party in fall 2007. Ugyen has attended several trainings to enhance his skills and knowledge in varied fields of development and relations. He is an avid advocate for rural development. Young and dynamic, he brings a lot of youthful vigor and vitality into the Party. He is a bachelor.

Mingbo Drukpa, a former managing director of BBS, re-contests from Dewathang-Gomdar constituency, Samdrup Jongkhar. He has a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
After 27 years of service in the education sector, he was promoted as chief district officer of the Dagana district. Having served in the position for five years, he served as the managing director of the Bhutan Broadcasting Service for four and half years. He resigned in 2007 to take part in the 2008 elections as a PDP candidate.
