Daughter of a contractor Tshewang did her schooling in Chukha High School and had lived there for more than two decades. While studying in college in Shillong, India, she was the first female to be chosen as the president of the students association. He was elected to the National Council from the district in 2007 elections. She was completed B. Com.

Pema Tenzin
Pema Tenzin worked in tourism industry for nine years as human resources and training director. He has specialization in leadership program from Singapore and Corporate Social Responsibility from Denmark. He worked as Executive training officer with COMO group in Singapore.

Completing B.Com Hounours from Sherubtse college, he did his MBA from Victoria university in Australia.
