The dzongkhag elected Rinzin, 44, from Goenpa Karp in Khoma gewog in 2007 as National Council member. Born on October 24, 1969 in Gonpakap, Khoma, Lhuentse, Rinzin completed Master in Agriculture Science from University of Melbourne, Australia in 2001 and Bachelor of Agriculture Science from Central Luzon State University, Republic of Philippines in 1997.

Tempa Dorji
Tempa Dorji, 45, said working towards balanced economic development for Lhuentse would be among his top priority.

Father of two, Dorji was working with the Bhutan Power Corporation (BPC) before announcing to join politics. With a Masters degree in power engineering from Norway, Tempa Dorji from Jarey gewog worked with BPC for the last 21 years. He last served as the manager of the electricity services division in Thimphu.

While in BPC, he was also part of a multi-sectoral task force during which he travelled the length and breadth of the country, meeting people from all walks of life.
