Tshering Wangchen
A 33-year-old educationist from Narang gewog in Mongar, known to his high school and college mates for his leadership cameo roles, has worked as teacher for eight years and resigned as vice principal of Yebilaptsa middle secondary school to join politics.
His father had earlier served in the Royal Advisory Council.
He also served as the president and secretary of the student body in Sherubtse for about three years during his college days. With a bachelor’s degree in Dzongkha and English from Sherubtse college in 2003, and a post-graduate diploma in education from Samtse college of education, Tshering taught at Taktse MSS, Motithang HSS, besides serving as the vice-principal of Yebilaptsa MSS.
He also served with the education ministry for a year.
